Who is Maria?

Hey! I'm 25 years old, originally from Gothenburg, but now living and studying in Umeå. My journey so far has been shaped by curiosity, new experiences, and a constant desire to learn more about myself and the world around me.

Traveling has always been a big part of that. Exploring new places, meeting people from different backgrounds, and exchanging knowledge and inspiration have often led me in unexpected directions.

After high school, I moved to the U.S. to pursue my dream of living abroad. There, I studied Business Management while playing soccer at a competitive level. A few years later, I decided to spend a ski season in Bad Gastein, Austria. That experience unexpectedly introduced me to coding and interaction design and five months later, I had not only found a second home, but also a new direction for my future.

That path eventually led me to Umeå University, where I began studying Interaction, Technology and Design. The programme was my first real introduction to coding, and it quickly sparked a passion for combining technology, creativity, and human-centered design.
